Korean shopping mall indoor space themed high-end naughty castle amusement park

Orange, Purple, White — And Neon

Most indoor playgrounds look like primary-colored plastic boxes. This one looks like a spacecraft interior. High-saturation orange, yellow, purple, and white contrast with ambient neon light strips. The colors do not just decorate; they define zones. Each area has its own color signature, making navigation intuitive even for young children. The aerospace theme runs through every surface, from the space station signage to the starfield ceiling panels.

High-Altitude Fitness — For the Big Kids

The first functional area is designed for older children (ages 8–14). A double-layer high-altitude expansion platform serves as the anchor. Professional fun climbing walls sit on one side, with varied handholds for different skill levels. Suspended obstacle crossing facilities connect the platforms — balance beams, hanging steps, and cargo nets.

The entire area uses a hot-dip galvanized steel structure — no rust, no wobble. High-density protective fences line every elevated edge. Flame-retardant anti-collision soft bags cover all impact points. The result: children exercise physical strength and balance while playing safely. Parents can watch from below without fear of serious falls.

Space Station Core — The Check-In Attraction

This is the visual heart of the project. A space station themed design with multiple sets of high and low staggered transparent spiral slides. The slides weave around each other — a child on one slide can see a friend on another. A million (well, very large) ocean ball pool sits at the base of all slides, in deep blue and white — the colors of a nebula, not just balls.

The staggered design achieves smooth flow: children enter at different levels, slide at different speeds, and land in the same ball pool without bottlenecks. Space themed scenery — control panels, porthole windows, satellite dishes — surrounds the area. Neon light strips pulse gently, mimicking spacecraft guidance systems. This zone has strong visual recognition and social communication attributes; it is where children gather, pose, and remember.

Toddler Leisure — Safe, Separate, but Not Isolated

Younger children (ages 2–5) need protection from the high-energy older kids. This area uses independent soft bag enclosure zones — not a corner of the main space, but a dedicated zone with its own entrance. Inside, gentle racing slides (short, slow, wide), a light carousel (toddler-paced rotation), and sensory interactive puzzle devices (touch panels, color-matching games) fill the space.

The soft bag enclosures eliminate collision risks. Parents can sit inside the zone or watch from the perimeter. The aerospace theme continues here with simplified graphics — friendly planets, smiling rockets — but the play intensity is deliberately lower. This zone meets the needs of parent-child companionship and leisure, not just child entertainment.

A Mall That Wanted More Than a Playground

The commercial complex that commissioned this project had a clear brief: create a themed indoor amusement park for all ages, with high safety and aesthetic appeal. Not a generic soft play rental space. A destination. The aerospace theme provides visual distinction. The three-zone layout ensures that toddlers, middle children, and preteens all have appropriate activities. The neon light strips and space station scenery make the space Instagram-worthy — free marketing for the mall.

Materials That Match the Ambition

The steel structure is hot-dip galvanized, then powder-coated in the aerospace colors. Soft bags are flame-retardant foam with anti-slip, wear-resistant PVC covers. The ocean balls are food-grade PE — non-toxic, odorless, UV-resistant. The flooring is thickened EPDM or PVC matting throughout. All materials meet or exceed EN1176 and ASTM standards.

Why This Layout Works for Operators

Three zones mean three distinct visitor flows. Older children self-segregate to the high-altitude area. Toddlers stay in the soft enclosure. The space station core attracts everyone but handles crowds through staggered slide entries. Staff can monitor all three zones from a central position. The neon lights and space scenery reduce the need for expensive seasonal decorations — the theme is permanent.
