Indonesia・Jakarta Star Exploration Children's Playground Indoor Play Facilities

Jakarta Needed More Than Another Ball Pit

The client in Jakarta, Indonesia, wanted something different. A 320㎡ indoor children’s amusement park that did not just entertain – it taught. Light science education woven into play. The theme they chose? “Interstellar Exploration.” Not a random decal on a wall, but a complete space adventure world built from floor to ceiling.

One Big Space Station – With Layers to Climb

At the heart of the park stands a multi‑layered three‑dimensional structure. They call it the “Space Station Core Module.” Children enter through a low crawl tunnel (the “airlock”), then climb up through padded netting and soft steps. The module connects climbing, crawling, and sliding in a continuous loop. No dead ends, no waiting in line – just movement. The structure is designed for ages 2–10, but the challenge levels vary: easy ramps for toddlers, steeper climbing panels for bigger kids.

Young Astronauts Have Their Own Nebula

For younger children (ages 2–4), the main activity area is a soft, planetary wonderland. Foam balls in purple, orange, and white fill a shallow pit – simulating planets and nebula clouds. UFO‑shaped toys (soft, rounded, no batteries) sit scattered around. A small padded slide, gentle enough for first‑time sliders, curves down from a low platform. The colors are not random; purple for gas giants, orange for Mars‑like surfaces, white for stars. Even toddlers absorb the space theme without reading a single word.

The Twin Spiral Slides – Purple and Blue Time Tunnels

The park’s popular attraction is a pair of spiraling slides – one purple, one blue. Each slide twists down from the upper level of the space station core. The designers call them “Interstellar Time Tunnels.” The purple slide has a slightly wider curve, suitable for younger children (ages 4–7). The blue slide is steeper and faster, aimed at ages 7–12. Both slides are made of smooth, non‑static plastic with rolled edges. The exit zones are extended and cushioned. Children slide out onto a thick rubber mat, not into a wall or another child. Excitement and safety – balanced.

Safety That Stays Invisible but Always Works

Jakarta’s tropical climate and dense urban environment demand extra care. The entire park uses formaldehyde‑free eco‑friendly materials – no off‑gassing, no chemical smell. An efficient ventilation system runs quietly in the background, cycling fresh air and keeping humidity under control. Multiple emergency exits are clearly marked and unobstructed. Surveillance cameras cover every play zone, and professional safety personnel are on duty during all operating hours. Parents can sit in the viewing area and watch their children on a monitor wall – or just look through the open, netted perimeter.

More Than Entertainment – A Gentle Science Lesson

Children leave this park knowing the names of planets (because the foam balls are labeled with little tags). They understand what a space station looks like (because they climbed through one). They talk about “nebulae” and “time tunnels” at dinner. The client wanted entertainment plus education. They got both, wrapped in purple, orange, white, and blue.
