Client & Project Background
This multi‑zone indoor playground was designed for a family‑oriented commercial space seeking a versatile, high‑appeal attraction that serves a wide age range. The client requested a complex combining interactive technology, classic play elements, and educational activities. The goal was to create a destination where young children (1‑4 years) and older children (5‑10 years) can play side‑by‑side, maximizing family dwell time and repeat visits.
Core Design Highlights
Interactive Ball‑Throwing Projection & Ball Pit
The interactive ball pit area features a ball‑catching mechanism that uses hand‑eye coordination to pass small balls, improving children’s coordination skills while offering both interactive and educational benefits. The colorful ball pit has a large area filled with colorful balls paired with toy cars. The soft ball pit is regularly disinfected and cleaned, satisfying children’s curiosity while ensuring hygiene and safety – a friendly play area for younger children.
Multi‑Slide Rainbow Slide
The multi‑slide rainbow slide leads directly to the ball pit. Its bright colors and reasonable slope allow children to release their energy while sliding, making it one of the most popular attractions. Children can slide down again and again, each time landing in the soft ball pit below.
Trampoline Area with Sticky Wall
The energetic trampoline area features a sticky wall, mini basketball hoops, and other fun installations. With thickened soft padding for protection, it allows children to jump and burn energy while also increasing their enthusiasm for exercise through fun activities. The sticky wall lets children jump and stick themselves to the wall – a highly popular feature for social media sharing.
Sandpit & Craft Area
A dedicated sandpit provides sensory play for younger children, while the craft area offers quiet, creative activities for children who need a break from high‑energy zones. These areas also serve as parent‑child interaction zones, allowing parents to sit and play alongside their children.
Pipe Games
Pipe games (also known as ball maze or tube maze) challenge children’s problem‑solving skills as they navigate balls through a network of transparent or colored tubes. This area provides educational value while still being fun and engaging.
Age Range & Accessibility
The playground serves a wide age range:
-
Toddlers (1‑4 years): ball pit, sandpit, craft area, gentle slides
-
Older children (5‑10 years): trampoline, sticky wall, pipe games, interactive ball projection
This broad appeal ensures that families with multiple children can stay longer, increasing dwell time and potential spend.
Materials & Safety
-
Regular disinfection and cleaning of ball pit area
-
Thickened soft padding throughout trampoline and slide zones
-
Soft ball pit with rounded edges and non‑toxic materials
-
Smooth, burr‑free surfaces on all slides and climbing elements
All materials are environmentally friendly, durable, and easy to clean, reducing later operation and maintenance costs.
Commercial Value
The combination of interactive technology (ball‑throwing projection), classic attractions (rainbow slide, ball pit, trampoline), and quiet zones (craft area, sandpit) creates a balanced play environment that appeals to a broad customer base. The sticky wall and rainbow slide are highly Instagram‑worthy, encouraging social sharing and word‑of‑mouth referrals. The educational elements (pipe games, coordination‑building ball games) also appeal to parents looking for “learning through play” benefits.
